Counselor's April Newsletter

This month, our whole group guidance lesson is on Relationships.   We are learning what relationships are. Relationships are when you care about someone, when you help someone, when you respect someone, and when you are there for someone.

We are reading Bill’s Story  and webbing our own relationships.  We have relationships with many people such as Mom, Dad, Grandmas, Granddads, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and with our pets.

Our character education words for the month are perseverance and diligence.
Read The Little Engine that Could to your child and discuss giving an extra effort and not giving up to difficult situations.

A,B,C’s for Parents in May will focus on The Incredible Years Program provided by The Child Advocacy Center of East Alabama, Inc.  This is a free positive parenting group that is open to all parents  who would like to learn techniques for increasing the quality of their relationship with their child.
